There are quite a number of California auto insurance coverages, but there are a few listed below for your information.

1. Basic liability coverage.

3. Bodily injury liability.

The standard auto insurance liability policy is the Bodily injury liability coverage. This coverage is often offer by any California auto insurance company, because it takes care of all total bodily injury.

Professioners recommend different minimum coverage that they feel is best enough for that coverage. Therefore, there are quite a variation in the least you can purchase for this coverage.

4. Medical Payments Coverage.

Medical payments coverage, also called personal injury protection, or PIP, covers the cost of injuries to you, your family, and your passengers.

Medical payments coverage can be useless some times, the reason being that if you have a good health insurance, then you don’t need a PIP. Your health insurance policy should pay for expenses of treatment of injuries as a result of an accident.

5. Collision and Comprehensive.

Many California auto insurance company will advise you to keep a high deductible on these policies becuase it is the best way to save money.
