Alomar Signed

Yankee fans…. are you ready to let go?
Good year your team had..coming back the way they did was nothing short of awesome. In the end, the more rounded and talented team (pitching, defense, all aspects) beat out the experience. As a Tribe fan… it KILLED me to see ownership switch from big spender Hart to this Shapiro guy and go into the rebuilding phase and losing players like Manny, Thome, Bartolo, Alomar… and so on. In the end it all worked out. Shapiro has built a GREAT young team with the prospects we got for those guys. He’s already started signing them to longer contracts… SMART spending. Another reason I can’t get this smile off my face is because we’re going to be good for a while now. The Tribe’s so young. So, as much as I hated him (Shapiro) then, I’m loving him that much more now.
So-Yankee fans..1)Do you want to see a new GM? and 2) If it was up to you, what aging talent would you trade away in hopes of signing some younger talent – or would you rather spend $ on shorter contracts of exp. players?
I am disappointed to say the least that my overpaid Yankees didnt do ANYTHING!But, I think we need new blood.
Let go of:
Torre (LOVE THE MAN, but he’s made bad decisions)
Clemens-stick to golfing-and let your impressive record be the thing people remember you for, not your post-retirement antics-
Mussina-my favorite player-aging, takes too long to get warm, doesnt seem to have the heart anymore-
Giambi-WOW- has this been a long fall from the glory days-time to go.
Pavano- pig on a bench-needed to go 2 years ago
Damon-great guy-overpaid though-a bit too emotional too.
Abreu-go-go-GO! Some other team could use your semi talents, maybe.
Bruney-AZ let him go for a reason!! Time to ship out
Villone-GO
Farnsworth-is worthless
Cashman-too timid, doesnt take the right chances and doesnt farm their own talent. GO already!! Please!!
