Why did my address book in IM disappear after my daughter signed in under her own acct.?

It’s now as if I have just become a new member, no addresses, no archives. My daughter used my ‘puter to sign in under her acct. and when I signed back in, all my addresses had disappeared, I had no archive, nothing. Would like to know “What happened”! How can I fix it? Thanks

When you say nothing, I guess that also means no buddies anywhere, online or offline, on your list any more ?

Wow. Are you CERTAIN you’ve re-signed in under the *exact* same ID you were on before your daughter came along ?

Your buddies’ IDs are stored AT YAHOO – so nothing that happens on YOUR PC should affect them.
But message archives ARE stored on your PC, so while it shouldn’t happen, it would be possible if someone messed up that those could get lost.
