Does anybody know of this baseball player?

My father who is in GA told me that he had met a famous baseball player named “Willy Atkins” (spelling may be off.I tried to spell it out).
He told me to find a baseball card so “willy” can sign it? but i think my spelling is off. I cant find him under google. Can anybody help me?

He might have been referring to Willie Aikens who played in the 70′s and 80′s….
