What is the deal with silver and gold variations of SP Authentic Autos?

I have been collecting 2007 Justin Morneau SP Authentic By the Letters and have cards signed in both gold and silver variations. The cards are numbered to 15. I have some of the same number in both colors of signatures. Has anyone else noticed? Is there a premium on one card or the other? I only noticed one listing for “/15″ in Beckett but no mention of the two colors. Also, let me know if you have one and may be willing to part with it.
