My car wont pass the emissions test? question about clearing the codes?

so i went to an auto parts store and they cleared the codes. I have a 1996 honda accord ex, and it was suggested to me to clear the codes to get rid of the check engine light. i was told to put approx 50 miles on it and then take it back, well i put at least 70 today,and the computer still isnt ready. any idea how many miles i got before the check engine light comes back on? i live in pittsburgh pa, if that helps, our emissions are strict here…..
any car built after 1995 has a computer that keeps track of its emissions. clearing the computer codes resets it. its a way to cheat the test…

you are fooling your self if you think that you can trick it to pass. when you clear codes, another code pops up, po1000, monitors have not run to completion. with that in there, you will fail. i live in CA where smog controls started, the cpu does not keep track of emissions, but fuel trim and current drive strategies. look up the drive trace for that car and match that.
