Is the USC ALL-METAL a good choice of body filler?
im new to this Auto boy work im about to work on a 78 car that i bought a couple months ago n i was wondering what kind of body filler and glaze i should get……i saw that the USC all metal filler cost like 75 n thought it must be good for its price….if some one with experience reads this can u tell me what products to get to restore a 78 monte carlo

good question. All Metal has several uses, one is to fill small holes like rust holes but only after rust is removed and the metal treated. then if you need to fill in a deep space (which i don’t reccomend but sometimes it’s unavoidable) it’s a good hard filler. but after the All Metal you will still need to use a good body filler and then a glaze to get a smooth repair. AM, like Dura Glass, is very hard and can’t really be sanded as smooth and straight as body filler. and after you’re done with the body filler you should apply a coat of glaze to fill in the rougher sand scratches, pinholes, and low spots before priming. also, since you will be sanding the glaze with 100 to 150 grit paper, you will get a better feel of your repair and know if it’s right or not.
