Baseball Proof

Vague text threats a motive and a guy batted half to death with a baseball bat! Is this enough proof?
Ok so we know who did it, some loony guy, he had made vague threats like you “better or else” “last chance”and “don’t cross me or else” etc
We have a motive.
And we have a guy half beaten to death with a baseball bat the injuries are obviously done with a bat.
Is that enough to convict the person that text-ed the vague threats or is that not beyond reasonable doubt?
That is not even close…the cops are going to have to find a witness who saw it…or the victim will have to be able to identify the defendant…
Motive is meaningless…If the victim can’t identify the guy, you’re probably sunk…unless they find the bat at the defendant’s house…maybe…
Of course, if the victim CAN identify the guy, you don’t need anything else…that is plenty….even without the texts
