Where can I go to see how much I can get for my old sports cards?
My collection includes baseball, basketbal, and football. I also have a collection of comic books that I used to collect when I was a little kid.
You can use www.beckett.com for about $6 per month per sport. That will give you the “book price”. The price will be for cards in real nice condition at the price that a retail card shop would sell them for.
With Ebay being so popular most people shop there. You would be lucky to get 1/2 of what the book value is and you have to pay fees to use Ebay and Paypal.
A third option is to visit your local card shop and let them sell them for you on consignment. You won’t get near the looks that you would on Ebay, but may get a little more cash per item.
You were collecting since you were a kid. Was that the 80′s or the 50′s? I collect baseball and football cards before 1970 if you would like to sell them as a lot. Just drop me an email if you are interested.
