Where do you get a COA?
I have a bat signed by A-Rod. I got it in 2001, I won a raffle at boy scouts. Our scout leader was good friends w/ the Yankees and was able to get merchandise for raffles. The bat is a flame tempered louisville slugger. It has A-Rod’s name engraved in the bat and he signed it with a sharpie below the engraved MLB logo. It say’s genuine right on the bat, but that doesn’t prove that he signed it.
I really couldn’t care less about it, but I know that he is considered to be one of the best. So I want to get a certificate of authenticity so that when I do sell it, it’ll get me more money.
So where do I get one and how?
Also how should I store (take care of) this thing? I put it on a shelf in my closet and it looks like part of the MLB logo is fading away.
easy: I suggest you take this and any photos you have of arod signing to psa, global or any other reputable authentication company. Its not so much about selling it but you would want a real autograph not some ghost sign bat. It will cost some money to authenticate it but you get what you pay for.
To take care of your bat I suggest putting it in a normal condition room. If its humid it will destroy the signature. This will devalue your autograph. A better idea is buying a baseball bat tube (its plastic and is good for storing autos). Congratulations and good luck on your bat
