A Mini Motor Bikes Basic Parts

These mini motor bikes may be small in size but they do possess the same basic parts that their normal sized brethren have. And some of them can even go as fast as regular sized motorcycles. Here are some of the basic parts that mini bikes have.

Head Lights and Signal Indicators- Yes, these mini motor bikes also have their headlights. You may choose upon purchasing if you want to have the model with a headlight and signal indicators or have the one without. Those that doesn’t have a headlight or signal indicators are the ones mainly used for racing and for exhibitions and stunts. You can opt to choose the one with the lights if you wish to use your mini bike to ride around with.

Bike Frame- These mini motor bikes frames are miniature replicas of the full sized bikes. They are simply smaller versions of the original. They also have a miniature shocks and gas tank.

Suspension- The Suspensions of these mini bikes rival that of regular sized bikes. They possess a mono shock which you can find in the rear for a smooth ride. These bikes can support the weight of either a child rider ages 8-12 to adults that weight as much as 85 kilos. These bikes are really built for kids to utilize, that’s why it has a small size.

Engine- These mini motor bikes also have a powerful engine. You can purchase a motorbike with a high horsepower engine at a slightly expensive price or you can purchase a bike with a medium ranged horsepower and you can just upgrade it. You can use the money you saved from your purchase to modify and boost your mini bikes engine to the speed that suits you. Some of these mini engines are engines they sometimes use for lawnmowers and leaf blowers. So you can expect maybe a 2-3 horsepower motor is currently installed if its newly purchased.

Brakes- The rider being as large as the bike you are riding, the breaks in your mini bike is designed so that when you will quickly squeeze the brakes your vehicle wont halt instantly so that you will not get thrown off from your bike. There are many accidents that occur with these mini motor bikes because the owners modify their brakes so that the vehicle would instantly halt when you quickly squeeze the brakes. That is why riders get thrown off their bikes and suffer head injuries or fractures due to this unnecessary modification. Bear in mind that majority of the owners and riders of these mini motor bikes are kids. You must be extra cautious and always inspect the brakes before you let kids and teens to use the bikes.

Modifying your Mini Motor Bike- It’s a lot of fun when you are the one making the modifications and the repairs for your bike. Some people say that tinkering with your bike helps you relax and clears your mind. And you can save money from hiring a mechanic or taking your bike to a custom bike shop.
