Is this a good all-time team of hockey players from Alberta?

Goaltender Grant Fuhr of Spruce Grove. Defenseman Bill Gadsby of Calgary. Right wing Trevor Linden of Medicine Hat. And three Edmontonians, Center Mark Messier, left wing John Bucyk and defenseman Darryl Sydor. The toughest call was Linden over Lanny McDonald. Actually, as a Devils fan, the toughest call for me was putting Messier on there without throwing up. Scott Niedermayer was born in Edmonton, but the family moved to Cranbrook, British Columbia, so I couldn’t put him here.

I would replace Linden with Iginla of Edmonton.
Phaneuf will probably end up being as good as Gadsby by the time he is done. Also born in Edmonton.

BTW, the Flames biggest rival is Edmonton, yet have more players from Edmonton (3) than any other city.
