Sending a jersey to a friend, can I place in blue post office bin?
I am sending my friend an nfl jersey. I placed it in a poly bag and has shipping label on it.
Can I place it in one of the big blue post office bins on the street, or is it too heavy?
If you think it is too heavy, does the post office have an area after hours to place packages?
The weight limit of 13 ounces is for packages that have postage stamps. A pre-paid postage label is fine. The issue is whether or not it will go into the drop box. But I would never mail anything in a plastic bag. They are easily punctured and torn. The jersey belongs in a shipping box.
