Wheels wont move on a 9 inch ford rear end?
I have a 1981 bronco with a 9 inch rear end. I was in the woods, dropped the clutch and heard a loud pop. Now only the drive shaft spins and tires don’t. I removed the carrier and noticed i did not break the cross pin in the mini spool. If i turn the yoke with my hand the gears move. The housing is cracked by the bearing seen from what would be the back of the axle. the yoke bearing i was told. but was told that wouldnt play a factor. Any help would be great!
if the rear end housing is cracked where the yoke goes in the front of rear end housing the yoke is attached to the pinion gear good chance the pinion is snapped this happens from time to time however there are several things
this could be the only sure way to find out is tear it down
