No file # received for Canadian PR card application yet.?

Hi all
My husband & I sent in our complete Canadian PR card application to Buffalo, NY (skilled workers) in May 2008 but haven’t received any information/confirmation or file # after that. We did this from Alexandria, VA.
We aren’t even sure of whom to contact regarding the file #. Any information regarding how to follow up would be greatly appreciated!

All skilled worker applications since Feb. 27 this year have been waiting for new rules and now finally they are out. Check the CIC website at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp to see if you still qualify. They are now asking for either a job offer or that you have experience in one of 38 most wanted jobs. If you don’t qualify anymore, they will return your application with a refund. If you do still qualify, you should hear something from them within a couple of months.
