When collecting autographs of sports athletes does the card or photo make a difference like what team they on ?
I was just wondering those like for an example, If I brought a Greg Maddux autograph and if the phot has him on the Braves or the Dodgers make a diffrence since the player is the same person? I understand if the photo or card is a special scene like the super bowl or something but just the difference of the teams they are on do that make a difference ihn value? thanks

I have been collecting, buying and selling autographs for the past 15 years. It is not necessarily the team or the card brand always. One of the important things is rookie cards. If it is a valuable card, you absolutely do NOT want to get that card signed. For example, a Michael Jordan rookie card is worth probably $300 or 400 mint. If you get him to sign it, you are dramatically reducing the value of that card. I have a Jordan Upper Deck card with a picture of him in the All-Star game and that is worth a lot more dough than if it was a rookie card.
Same story with an Upper Deck rookie card of Ken Griffey Jr. I accidentally brought that card to a Mariners game at Oakland many years ago and as I handed him the card realized what I just gave him. I immediately lost a good $100 or so by having him sign that mint card.
