Best baseball player from the past, in the present, and for the future?

Just wondering peoples opinion on this. I would just like to know who you think the best player (any position) from the past, in the present and for the future. Please dont just put down your favorite player unless you think he is an all time great, or some joke of a player i.e. Bucky Dent ,Charlie Hough, Etc..
