Why are the Chicago Cubs going to win the World Series this year?

I’m not a Cubs fan but I over heard that the Cubs will win the World Series in 2008. My money is still on the Washington Nationals or Pittsburgh Pirates though. I think the Cubs have what it takes. What kind of reaction would you have if the Chicago Cubs won the World Series?

I’m not a gambling person, but if I was, I would let you take all three; Pirates, Nationals and the Cubs to win the series. I’m not sure if this is a legit question or not. If the Pirates finish at .500 I will be amazed. Unless Pops, Candyman, Cobra, Maz, Maddog, Drabek, Tekulve, and Clemente, either get alive again, or twenty to thirty years (fifty for Maz) younger, I don’t see it happening.
