Memory problems, please help?
Sometimes I can’t remember doing something after I did it. Like, after my soccer game one time, I didn’t remember actually playing soccer. All I remembered was that we lost, and I didn’t do very good. When I was getting off the bus one time, I didn’t remember riding on the bus.
The weird thing is, that I can remember a lot of useless information, like this boy at school’s birthday, and what DNA stands for, a bunch of other random stuff like that. And I remember my stuff for school, and what classes I have to go to, and where they are. Sort of. It’s sort of like I’m on auto-pilot when I’m going to my classes, because I guess I just know where they are now. I can’t really remember much of when I was younger, other than some vague details about a few vacations we went on.
And one more thing, I don’t know if this would have anything to do with this, but I’m a 12 year old girl.
Oh, and this happens to me mostly everyday I think. (me not remembering things)
You have to see a neurologist about this. I’m sure he will be fascinated by what you have. These cases are very rare, so if you live in a small town, go to a big city. Maybe someone there who has treated a case like yours. If the neurologist can’t find anything wrong, visit a psychiatrist. If nothing else it could be dissociative fugues. These are very rare too. Someone could write an article or even a book about your case (not with your real name on it of course).
