How often does a restriction enzyme cut into a DNA sequence?
I am currently doing an assignment on “Tools and Techniques of Bioengineering” for Grade 12 Biology and this is one of the questions.
Every time the right sequence occurs in the DNA.
I’m going to assume you know about Ts and As and Cs and Gs
Lets say your rescriction enzyme is this:
A-A-C-C
T-T-G-C
Every time this sequence occurs in the nucleotide, the restriction enzyme will splice the DNA.
