Russell Drysdale – The Station Yard?
This artist Russell Drysdale paints a picture called The Station Yard.
I know this picture has a lot of meaning to it and it depicts a lot about Australia especially when the end of 2nd world war finished but i just don’t understand what the colour and testure techniques he applied to the art work and what meaning is behind it.
Would any one like to help me out? I am so confused?
His art works are really amazing.
i’ll give anyone 10 points if they would just take a little bit of their time and help me undesrtand.

Color and texture are talked about particularly in the para starting “The station yard represents a change in Drysdale’s…” By the way, I would recommend you looking up his earlier “Soldier” painting and compare the colors and smoother texture.
