Would you pick up this book if this was on the back cover?
“In my head there’s a Grey Hound station, where my thoughts are sent to far off destinations.”
“Death, which is something inevitable,” Wynn starts to write, “is something most people are scared of. I’m not scared of it, it’s something that’s significantly close to my heart and is going to take me away earlier than anyone expected. To me, death is love, beauty, peacefulness and grace all wrapped together. I don’t believe in a Heaven or a Hell, either. I believe that whatever you did on earth stays with your body while your soul, as pure as Heaven if there is one, floats up to whatever’s up there. Maybe the stars are lingering souls, watching to see what they’re missing. If they are, I’m not going to be a star. I’m counting on death to take me somewhere better than here, and even if it isn’t better I won’t miss here very much.”
Possibly. Keep in mind, however, that unless you are actually a “blurb” writer, you would not be writing that copy. Book publishers write their own inside front and/or back cover text. It is a marketing tool.
