Check out the Comic Expo 2011 in Bristol
No matter whether you’re a fan of comics, movies, books or television shows relating to the heroes, villains and underdogs of the comic book world, you can be sure that you’ll find plenty of your favourites at the Bristol Comic Expo 2011. Sure to include many excellent things to see and do, fans of Spiderman and Sandman alike, as well as anime buffs and manga fans, will all be able to get together in comic book heaven at this brilliant festival this year.
Not only will there be stalls aplenty for you to stock up on all of your comic book needs – or, if you prefer, to pack your pockets with comic book related merchandise: toys, video games, cards, keyrings, replicas of items from the series, clothing, and just about anything else you can think of – but there are also talks, panels and screenings planned that could potentially blow your socks off! Every comic expo needs a celebrity or two, and this year’s Bristol Comic Expo is no different. You can expect to see big names from comics, movies and TV all in the same place and maybe even shake a hand or two while you’re getting your precious comic books signed!
The line-up at Bristol Comic Expo is enough to get any comic, manga and web enthusiast excited, with appearances from Pail Grist, CY Dethan, Sonia Leong, Anne Stokes, Boo Cook, Weebl, Stephen Downey, Karl Richardson, Andi Ewington, Kev Crossley, Matt Timson and many more. These guests will take part in a plethora of panel discussions where you’ll be able to find all about the world of comics and different aspects of what goes on behind the scenes, including various instances of comics, politics and what it’s like to get into comics from a woman’s point of view. There will also be question and answer sessions and far more. For anime fans, screenings of your favourite movies will take place during the expo and a competition will seek out the best costume constructors and reward them accordingly. If you attend dressed up, entry into the competition is free.
Gamers will love the Nintendo dedicated area where they can get their hands on the new Nintendo 3DS and try their hand at some of the exciting new 3D games coming out on this stunning handheld console. More classic gamers will be able to relive fond memories while playing Zelda: Ocarina of Time as well.
