Is Florida State University just a party school?
Someone please help me:
I’m majorly stressing about colleges and I found Florida State. It seems perfect but I don’t live near Florida so I know nothing about it’s reputation. I’m above average but not genius smart… I’m looking for a challenge. Would this be a good school choice or is it a blow-off party school?
FYI: I’m looking to cheer there and they have the type of squad I like so for this reason FSU is one of my top choices.
School is what you make of it. You create your own experience. Going to class and taking a active role in your education can happen at any school you choose. An excellent education does not just happen.
You can party and “blow off classes” at any school you go to if that is what you are looking for………..
Go where you think you will have the best fit. Personally, I think you get a more specialize experience at smaller schools. The research 1 universities have such a publish or parrish attitude….you sometimes miss the professor/student connection because you will be taught by graduate students.

Carl Orff: Carmina Burana $7.80 Yes, here it is folks–that irritatingly catchy chorus you first heard in the film Excalibur, or as the background music to the HBO Boxing Specials, and in zillions of other places. What it’s not is the music from The Omen, which it clearly inspired. All pieces of music that feature choruses chanting in Latin are not the same (in fact, Stravinsky’s Symphony of Psalms is much closer to The Ome… |

Hans Christian Andersen (With Original Theatrical Trailer) [VHS] $8.50 Of all the Danny Kaye movies, this musical biography of the legendary vagabond storyteller is definitely the most poignant, extending the performer’s range far beyond his usual comic shtick. It may not be as funny as Wonder Man, but it has so much more going for it. In fact, the film is really more about Kaye than Andersen, providing rare insight into his humanitarian ideals and rapport with child… |
