Is this year proof that college football desprately NEEDS a tournament?

i mean rite now there is no team that clearly deserves to be in the title game… a playoff system would be amazing

No. I think college football is the best sport there is now. A playoff would just make the regular season boring just like the NFL or college basketball (where only March Madness is exciting). With the system as it is now, you just have to win all your games and you’ll be the champion. Pretty much every year the most deserving team is crowned champions. A playoff system would really negate the meaning of a lot of rivalry games. For instance, the SEC championship game would probably be played by a lot of second string players out of fear of injury.
I think the only ones who can complain are Boise State and Hawaii. However it’s really there own fault because they play such weak schedules.
