Does Manny Ramirez get a fastball in his earhole during his first at bat in Game 5?
Actually, I was kind of surprised that Betencourt didn’t drill him in the 8th last night. But after that showboat move standing at home plate with his arms in the air and his team trailing by 4, he deserves to get plunked. That’s like a guy who does a sack dance while his team is losing by 30 points.
I think as the team ace, CC has no choice but to drill him.
I say no. Any other player in the league would get it, but not Manny. It’s like beaning a 12-year old. Cleveland has more class than that. His team was still down by 4, and Manny just doesn’t get it. He uses all the brain-power he has to read pitches and he is a master at it. That is all you can expect from him.
