Would You Gamble With Your New Year’s Eve Musical Entertainment?

A good show is always guaranteed at a casino resort and recently some of the casinos have been really trying very hard to keep all their players happy. With the news announced that KISS will be showing up at the Hard Rock Casino in Tulsa to sign autographs for fans got me wondering. On the strip these days, who is being lined up to entertain us? It is certain that the KISS appearance is a pretty specific audience and I wonder if the fans will be turning up in full makeup and outfits to match their idols.

A true star is making a very welcome return to Las Vegas and one that has a huge fan base. Good old Barry Manilow will be singing his dulcet tones in Sin City as he is rumoured to have signed up for a two year show at the Paris Las Vegas hotel. The performance is scheduled to begin sometime around Spring 2010.

If Barry doesn’t float your boat and you prefer a more modern tune then the Black Eyed Peas have already been signed up for Dick Clark’s New Year Special. The Las Vegas line-up includes performances by The Black Eyed Peas, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, Keri Hilson, Colbie Caillat, Robin Thicke and Orianthi.

If the Las Vegas Wynn succeed in snapping up Beyonce for a stint at their Vegas casino, that will be a real bonus for them. She appeared earlier this year for two months and the negotiations are to try and bring her back for a longer session. Her shows helped boost visitation to Wynn and its sister, Encore Las Vegas resort, during a typically slow tourist season in Sin City.

Finally, for all you 1980s fans out there, I was delighted to come across this act at the Palms. Billed as ‘Singing Sensation’ Matt Goss of the boy band that was Goss will be appearing. It doesn’t really surprise me. With all the news in the media about punters refusing to pay their bills to casinos, it was only a matter of time before the new Vegas anthem became ‘I owe You Nothing’!
