Hof Plaque
HOF: Who will be the first Tampa Bay Ray inducted?

One man has played for the (Devil) Rays and later been elected to the Hall Of Fame — Wade Boggs (1998-99). However, and understandably, he does not have the Devil Rays logo on his plaque cap.

Who will be the first HOFer to wear the Tampa Bay logo?

I really like White Sox’s answer, effectively none.

There is a good chance that, barring any infrastructure rules that puts all teams on equal footing or an entire change of philosphy in either the team or the fans, that Tampa may never keep anyone for the majority of their career to both qualify, achieve and have their brightest moments as a Ray.

Since Longoria has a 6 year contract with 3 option years already, he ‘may’, but there are a lot of ifs.

Then again, the future is something that’s always expansive, so one never knows.
