Drunk Jerry Jones Video: Candid Comments From Cowboys Owner
Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys, is rich and famous — he won’t need a loan anytime soon. Sometimes the price of fame can be expensive, as shown by the video of Jerry Jones drunk that has gone crazy on the internet. The video was shot with a cell phone camera and shows juice comments claimed about Tim Tebow, Bill Parcells and Tony Romo.
Cell phone sneak captures Jerry Jones drunk
The Jerry Jones drunk video was shot in an unidentified bar, where Jones was knocking back a few cocktails with some unidentified drinking buddies. Someone with their cell phone decided to take advantage of the moment and shoot Jones as he answered questions about Romo, Parcells, and Tebow. The video started out at Deadspin.com, which should be collecting a big pay day from all of the attention.
Jerry Jones speaks his mind
In the video, Jerry Jones is heard calling Tony Romo a “miracle,” although a lot of Dallas Cowboy fans, whose memories include multiple Super Bowl winners Troy Aikman and Roger Staubach, may disagree. The video picture quality is poor. You can barely see Jones in the poor lighting and grainy picture quality. The video is still priceless.
The whiskey did the talking for Jerry Jones
The Jerry Jones drunk video isn’t the first time the high-roller from Arkansas has titillated Texans with alcohol-fueled comments. Referring to the players Jones himself drafted and signed, he said “any one of 500 coaches could have won those Super Bowls” after winning the 1993 Super Bowl. At a cocktail party Jones told reporters that he intended to replace Cowboys coach Jimmy Johnson, an old college buddy, with former University of Oklahoma coach Barry Switzer. The morning after that he said it “was the whiskey talking.”The morning after that happened, he said is “was the whiskey talking.”
Jerry Jones drunkenly disses Tebow and Parcells
In the Jerry Jones drunk video, the Cowboys owner said that college phenom Tim Tebow would never get on the field if Dallas drafted him. Someone said that if Jones owned the Jacksonville Jaguars, off camera, he could draft Tebow just to sell jerseys. The conversation then gets really juicy. Jones said “That’s why I brought in Parcells.” Apparently, bringing in Parcells was the signal Cowboys supporters needed to help Jones build his new stadium. His great opinion of Parcells: “Bill’s not worth a bleep. I love him.”
Minions of Jerry Jones keeping their mouths shut
The Dallas Morning News was told the club had no comment by the Cowboys director of public relations, Rich Dalrymple. The Dallas Morning News couldn’t reach Parcells for a comment, but he described his relationship with Jones as very friendly. Jones’ drunken rambling could very well get him in trouble with the NFL. Roger Goodell, NFL commissioner, uses a strict personal conduct policy to ride herd on players and owners in the league. Get out your credit card, Jerry.
With money, Jerry Jones puts food in mouth
Jerry Jones’ mouth has gotten him in trouble with the league before. After Jones criticized publicly referee Ed Hochuli after Hochuli made a controversial call in a game between the Denver Broncos and the San Diego Charger, Jones was fined $ 25,000 on Sept. 14, 2008. On his radio show, he said Hochuli was one of the most criticized officials in the NFL. In 2009, Jones ended up drawing a six figure fine for violating a gag order on labor issues.
