If Ted Williams & Joe Dimaggio played today do you think they would be better then Albert Pujols?

Albert Pujols is the best player in this era but if Ted & Joe played today would they be 1 & 2?
or would Pujols still be the man.

You are talking about three of the greatest hitters to ever live, I think it would be a situation where maybe this year Pujols has the better year, then the next year it’s Williams…all three are great hitters for average and for power. DiMaggio gets a slight nod for being an oustanding defender. Pujols plays an easier defensive position, but to his credit he has worked hard to become an excellent defender. Williams never was all that interested in fielding…

For the people who hint about Ted Willams being “surly” or something like that – remember that this guy put his life on the line – TWICE – to protect your sorry behinds. Williams didn’t have to go to Korea. It would have been a lot easier for him to stay in the States and get to 600 career HR, but he volunteered and he was a fighter pilot being shot at on the front lines. I’m sure every time he had some dumb reporter asking stupid questions or some ignorant Boston fan booing him he asked himself “why did I defend THESE people?” He earned the right to grumble a little, and emerged as one of the great ambassadors of the game in his later years.
