How much are my Baseball autographs worth?
1. Nomar Garciaparra signed picture
2. Jacoby Ellsbury signed picture
3. Carlton Fisk signed picture
4. Johnny Pesky signed ball
5. Tampa Bay Rays team signed ball
6. David Ortiz signed batt
7. Rico Petrocelli signed picture
8. Sparky Lyle signed picture
9. Jim Craig signed picture
10. Jim Rice signed ball
Are you insuring them or trying to sell them? Without COAs or appraisals by a known appraiser they are almost worthless. Well over 50% of all autographs on eBay are suspect or forgeries. Appraisals would only be of value on the Ortiz bat, the Rice ball and the Rays ball.
With COAs and assuming the pictures are 8×10 color photos. Retail value is as follows and wholesale value is 50%.
1. 25
2 25
3. 40
4. 60
5. Depends on the year. last year 250
6. 250-300
7. 30
8. 30
9. 50
10. 125
800-900 retail
450-wholesale
Almost all the interest will be in the Ortiz bat and the Rice ball. There will be specific interest in the Rays ball. This is assuming Madden on the sweet spot. The Craig picture will have some interest if it is on a Olympic picture in goalie gear. Less if it is a single signed Olympic team picture.
The Pesky ball is more valuable if it is an older example. His newer signatures are more shaky and less desirable.
The other stuff is of questionable value and could only be sold in a group.
For example I once bought a dozen major league balls at a convention. The value of a major league ball at that time was $8. I bought the dozen for $60 or $5 each. The balls were all sweet spot signed by HOFer Gaylord Perry and Lenny Dykstra. I used them for batting practice.
