What will the Cubs do with Josh Vitters?
With Ramirez in his prime and ready to come off the DL. What will happen with Vitters when he is ready to be in the majors in a year or two? Will they bring him up and maybe try him at second for Fontenot or maybe at one of the corners in the outfield?
Vitters won’t be ready for a few years. By the time he is a productive player in the majors, Ramirez may have retired. Or more likely, Derrek Lee will have. Perhaps Vitters can play in the outfield for a year or two, with Fukodome becoming a bench player. No matter what, the Cubs will find a place for Vitters.
