Who was the luckiest player in NHL history?
There are the players in league annals such as Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, and Bobby Orr who redefined the NHL. There are players such as Lanny McDonald and Scott Stevens who worked their asses off to become leaders of championship teams. Then there are players who find themselves on rosters of NHL teams, having one good week (or season for that matter) and gaining a small share of immortality.
The question is based on the latter scenario: which player in league history was the luckiest, meaning they somehow gained great success by simply being along for the ride?
LITY- You mean to tell me the Oilers would have won their Cups without Fuhr? I don’t know if I could fathom that one!
Brett Hull (the goal) <----just that game!
Lucky...Hmmmm.....Chico Resch (Islanders) does that qualify?
