If I join the soccer team at my school will i get signed by a major league team?

and it’s the high school team

dont pay attention to haters of the game, ignorant people dont get far in life. anyways it all depends. its very very rare that a high school kid gets signed on by a pro club unless you are either very very good or you play in a credited soccer club or you are in a mls club academy and since you live in phoenix there the closest mls club is Real Salt Lake which i dont think you’ll move all the way there. what you can do if you think you have the skill is play your best in your school team and usually you’ll get scouted by a college scout. from there if your lucky you get invited to play for a college usually with a scholarship. from there if you’re good then thats when you’re scouted by MLS scouts. you get invited to the MLS combine and if they like you then you get drafted. not to discourage you not anyone whos good plays and goes pro. if you look at the roster for this years draft players its very few compared to the number of college players let alone the millions who play across the nation. but whether you play to go pro or cuz you love the game you should definatley play for your school its a fun experience and chances are you may go pro.

btw if you do play you can register at berecruited.com thats a site used by hundreds and thousands of scouts and its free. if you keep your profile up to date with goals, assists or saves or whatever stats scouts will notice your page. ive been scouted by several college scouts even been invited to several combines but they are too far for me but you never know
