Do you think there is tension between Michael Kay and John Flaherty?
On the YES Yankees broadcasts, it seems to me John Flaherty is more anal than his cohorts. Today, he seemed real curt about telling Michael Kay he wasn’t invited to dinner. He talks like that a lot and can be snappy with the other broadcasters. When Michael Kay talks with the other guys, like Paul O’Neill, Al Leiter, David Cone or Ken Singleton, it seems the “tense” moments are obviously joking around. But with Flaherty, they’ll have the tense moment and go straight to the game, with no signs of kidding around. Not just today, it’s been like the before. Does anyone know if there is some tension there, or is that just Flaherty’s personality, or what’s the deal?
WOW!!! i was thinking the same thing Flaherty was being very rude to Michael Kay and pretty cocky too.I don’t like Flaherty as a yankee broadcaster and how the heck did he earn a spot on the Yes Channel? he was a yankee for what 1 year?
