What are the California laws around license plate placement on the back of motorcycles?
I need to relocate the license plate of my motorcycle because I am removing the ‘extra’ fender it is attached to, and I am considering placing it in an area that is still visible, but may technically be an issue – in the space under the seat or above the rear tire. I’ve seen some bikes have this. I’m not worried about any issues with it clearing my tire and all that, I would like to know if I would be stopped by a cop and given a ticket for it.
I have my license plate on the back of my helmet and havent been pulled over yet.
