The Lions sign 2 good free agents?

They sign Nate Burleson who was one of the top WR’s in FA this year.
They sign Kyle Vanden Boch who will really help the D-line along with d-line wizard Jim Schwartz.

If they signed some big guy who drives a beer truck for a living they surely get better than most of the guys they have now. So obviously they improved. After Megatron they had zero….zip…nada so while Burleson has always been more hype than production he still is a major improvement. Vanden Bosch was a very good player when he had Haynesworth plugging the middle and consuming a couple blockers and when Albert left Kyle struggled last year. If they are able to draft Suh then signing Vanden Bosch will prove to be an excellent move…if they dont get him any help fans will be disappointed. They also traded for Corey Williams (they gave a 5th rounder and got Williams and a 7th) so they at least get a space eater on the interior DL who is more productive than what they had. Any move has to be seen as a positive move for them given the severe lack of talent….if they land one of the couple available DBs who are still capable (they sign guys who were washed up 3 years before they signed them…maybe the lack of sell outs got Scrooge Fords attention finally) this has to be seen as nothing short of amazing given their previous lack of commitment to winning.

But yes…these appear to be positive moves….but they have a ways to go.
