Detroit Red Wings sign Todd Bertuzzi… + B.Q.?
1) – The Detroit Red Wings have signed Todd Bertuzzi (again) to a one year deal: Yay or Nay?
2) – Was TexasHabsFan right when he said that “He (Bertuzzi) will need a Ferrari to keep up with (Darren) Helm”?
3) – Will Ralph be right, too, when he said that if Bertuzzi is put on a line with Draper and Maltby they will be the slowest line in hockey?
4) – Unrelated B.Q – What is the most embarrassing thing to happen to you while playing hockey that someone saw, or happened when people were around and you are glad they didn’t see?
Hey Durpa-Doo, I do watch a real sport: Nascar, it takes so much athletic skill to do what they do. Not everyone with a drivers license can drive that fast on a round course.
Sarcasm. I don’t watch Nascar.
1. Detroit needed a big body ans someone who can create some traffic in front of the opponent’s net especially with Holmstrom always being banged up. Good move.
2. No. His analysis is actually errant. Bertuzzi is actually pretty mobile for a guy his size. Who says he plays with Helm anyways? Bertuzzi is not among the NHL’s slowest players….a misconception.
3. Again…..Maltby is actually a decent skater and Draper is too…they do not usually put turtles out on the PK. It would not even be close since all three are decent skaters. The slowest line would be one that consists of Brashear, Laraque or Boogaard although who knows what lines they will be on.
4. Nothing comes to mind.
