Procedure for a science project that shows how aerodynamics work in NASCAR?
My 5th grader signed up for her science project to be Aerodynamics in NASCAR. I understand aero and how it works but we need a procedure. Something to test and show results for that part of the project. Short of building a wind tunnel I have no idea how to do this.
Sounds like fun. Perhaps this web site will help

Using hot wheel cars stuck 1/2 way into poster board and drawing wind lines around therm the diagrams in the link above could be recreated.
To make a wind tunnel, you could use a fan, a model car or two, large clear tubing (for the tunnel), and dry ice (to make smoke) or “canned smoke”. Might not perfect, but could be fun to try. (I’ve never done this myself, but it sounds doable pending on how complex this project should be).
