Do you feel that there are performance enhancing drugs in the NHL?
You’ve probably all heard about the steroid allegations in MLB recently. The Canadian Press printed an article stating that half of Canadians believe that performance enhancing drugs are used by “many” or a “fair number” of NHL players.
The poll results were:
17% – many NHLers are using;
36% – a fair number of NHLers are using;
32 % – few NHLers are using;
1% – none are using;
14% – no opinion
What do you think?
I put no stock in most of these polls. Did they ask all Canadians, I wasn’t asked? How many even follow hockey?
I think there is probably some usage, just like in every day society, I also believe that it is limited to a few gym rats and maybe enforcers.
Therefore, I would fit into the 32 percent group. A few are probably using or have used. If I had to guess a number, I would say between 5-25 guys.
