hat happens to the puck when a players scores his first NHL goal?

I know one of the players goes and gets the puck, but what happens after that? I think they put it on a plaque and give it to the player afterwards, but who does that?

The puck is usually given to the player as a memento of his accomplishment.

What the player does with it is his biz. The puck usually sits in storage until the player retires or it ends up in his parents’ trophy case.
