Is Edison Volquez the next Pedro Martinez?
I think that Edinson Volquez will be the next yonger version of Pedro Martinez give me your thoughts and if you disagree than say why
No. Pedro is a once in a generation pitcher. Edinson Volquez has velocity and a changeup. That is really all the good stuff he has. Pedro has location,a good delivery, good command, a circle changeup and a curveball. Volquez does not have fantastic command, which causes alot of walks. Injuries will slowly cause his fastball to go lower. However, Pedro was still able to locate with a fastball around 88-92mph and it tails quite alot. Volquez will never have the location of Pedro. Also, he doesn’t have the best delivery in the world, that is how and why he got injured.
