Pga Augusta

Pga Augusta
Your thoughts about the set up of the US Open?

One of the charms of the US Open is the traditional toughness of the courses. It looked like Congressional was a pretty run of the mill PGA style course and not that tough (which most of us would be hard pressed to break 100, I bet!). The Masters has Augusta, icon that it is, the Open has those funky links courses that offer so much challenge with design and weather and the PGA is, well, the PGA.
Mind you, I am delighted to see Mcllroy win and it was a fascinating tourney but I always look forward to the USGA’s set ups that make the US Open so tough.

Fellow golfers’ opinions, please.

I agree. It was a weak set up, especially with the rough. Before the rough was punishing but at Congressional it was simply annoying.
