Why doesn’t the Indy Racing League get alot of publicity?

I always hear about it on sports news and, on average, you typically see references to it’s greatest drivers on shows and programs that don’t have anything to do with motorsports than you see NASCAR references, other than Jeff Gordon and the Earnhardt family, of course. Why does the IRL seem to get alot less publicity?

Less money and less sponorship support. You will see a plain white car driving around in IRL (John Andretti) while some Nascar drivers cant fit another logo or decal on their car. Money is what makes the sport tick..
