Credit score of 600 and have a repossed car that I co-signed with on credit from 2005.Need a car.?

I was told by a friend to file Chapter 7 and it will be easier to get a car, but not really sure what to do. I am told that if I go to a credit union that it will be easier to get a car loan.With a credit score of 600 I am not sure what amount of loan I will qualify for.I need to know what is my best opitions.

Your friend is an idiot. Filing for bankruptcy won’t make you any less of a credit risk and it will still cost you a couple grand for the lawyer. You could get a beater for that much.

You have a stain on your credit credit from 2005. No big deal. Why reset the clock with a worse stain?
