Are there any hotels that offer monthly rates for students in Los Angeles?

I need to move to los angeles for a 6 month internship but don’t really want to sign a lease. Are there any hotels that offer monthly rates?
I found the Stay hotel and the Mayfair in downtown LA have monthly rates, as well as a travelodge (but its in anaheim).

Some of the extended stay hotels will let you do it. The problem is that once you stay in a place for 30 days in California, you then have tenant rights, which makes it harder to evict you if you don’t pay. Hotels don’t like that.

Best place to stay is probably at the Oakwood Apartments in Toluca Hills. That’s where all the wannabe stars (and even a couple of real ones) stay.
