Clemens personal service contract with the Houston Astroids may be in jeopardy?

It was signed, sealed and delivered and NOW the Astros are trying to get out of the personal service contract because Clemens is a distraction. Any comments?

The ten year service contract is set to start upon Clemens’ retirement. A person under a personal service contract acts as an ambassador of the franchise, along with whatever else is specified in the contract. As such, I’m sure there are clauses pertaining to behavior and reputation. Whether he ever admits to his use of PED’s or not, he’s still got troubles. Given that by the time he officially retires, he may be in jail, it’s pretty understandable that the Astros wouldn’t want him as a representative of their franchise. I wouldn’t think that anyone’s in a hurry to sign Bonds to a personal services contract at this point, either.
