Sabres fans, how do you feel about Dumont signing with Nashville?

I’m happy for him but disappointed for the Sabres. Darcy Regier (Sabres GM) blew this, as far as I’m concerned. He could have negotiated a contract very similar to what J.P. Dumont ultimately signed with Nashville but instead he let it go to arbitration… and from that point on, it was guaranteed we were going to lose one of our top players.

Dumont is a high character guy, a good teammate and a consistent scorer. He also played on my favorite line, along with Danny Briere and Jochen Hecht. He will definitely be missed in Buffalo, both on and off the ice. He was very active in local charities, especially for kids. We’ll definitely miss Dumont… but I wish him the best in Nashville and I’m sure he’ll be very productive for them.
