Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics
The 2010 Winter Olympics, Vancouver 2010, is the officiall 21st Olympic Winter Games, is a a major international multi-sport event hosted in Vancouver, Canada, on the 12th of February and until the 28th of that same month. The Winter Olympics and the Paralympic Games will be hosted in Vancouver this year by the VANOC (Vancouver Organizing Committee).
The 2010 Winter Olympics is the 3rd host of Olympics ever crafted by Canada, consequent to the 1976 Summer Olympics of Montreal and the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, Alberta.
As the Olympic tradition calls, Vancouver mayor Sam Sullivan had previously received the Olympic flag during the closing ceremony of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin before it got raised on the 28th of February 2006 during a special ceremony, but will then get displayed and raised throughout the Vancouver Olympics opening ceremony in Vancouver tomorrow.

In 2004, the operational cost estimated for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics was estimated to reach $1.354 billion Dollars. In the midst of year 2009, the projected breached the pre-estimated limits to host all the athletes and exceeded the cost of $1.76 billion Dollars, all rose from non-governmental sources of money, such as sponsorships and auctions, mainly for the TV rights and national broadcasting rights on TV and through online sports live streaming.

Vancouver 2010 live will be broadcasted worldwide by a large number of sports TV and sports websites through the live streaming feature. Referring to the rights of Vancouver 2010 games, a series of rules and fees were packaged with those for the 2012 Summer Olympics, which directly means that the Olympics live broadcasters will be mainly the same for the 2010 Winter Olympics and for the 2012 summer Olympics.
The main host broadcaster is the Olympic Broadcasting Services Vancouver, an affiliate of the IOC’s, a local broadcasting unit “Olympic Broadcasting Services”.

It was reported earlier to the Vancouver 2010 Opening Ceremony that the Associated Press network (AP) had a wide plan to send around 120 sports reporters, photographers, editors and videographers in order to cover the games in favor of the American community and USA TV viewers. AP had signed many agreements and affiliate programs with more than 900 newspapers and broadcasters that will split the advertising and marketing revenues generated by the AP-produced videos, photos, stats and stories.
