Wisconsin- breaking a newly signed lease renewal?
I have been in my apt for almost a year lease ends the end of july, i was given a lease renewal and not knowing of my plans, went ahead and signed asked if there was a six month one, i was told no. even though i know a person who has a 6 month lease. an hour or so after signing i decided not to and asked to go month to month, i was told it was already excecuded and i can’t change it. I have found something much cheaper that i can afford and was wondering if anyone has any thoughts or ideas on this, It has not started yet and have not recieved a copy of the newley signed one??? please advise thank you. M
As said above well and good…however there is one thing that would be feasable…if you are military and you must provide your orders for deployment to be waivered on a signed lease.
Chances are that you are not in that way of an option. Sorry to say you are pretty much stuck, unless you can talk with the landlord and explain you can not afford it. They may be willing to let you slide(avoiding other costs that may come to them by having to evict you when you can not afford to pay) but they will probably charge you until another tenant is found.
Hope this helps.
